i must say i am wondering just who turned Walter into a vampire...
obviously, he is not one of the artificial weakling vampires like the Millenium grunts (if he were, why the hell would he even think about fighting Alucard?), so supposedly, another vampire must have "embraced" him, or whatever...
but WHO?! the Millenium lieutenants are all werewolves...and Montana? i do not know what the hell he is, but if he were a vampire himself (which were suggested in the chapter where Alucard has the flashback) then why are he not fighting himself? at least, we know he cannot be human...after all, he looks just like he did back in WW2...
and where does "she" (from the dawn) fit in?
I guess most of these answers will be answered in the dawn, such as how Montana managed to turn Walter...he did say that all was decided "back then"...
...
...
well...
anyone have any ideas?
...

Why bother fighting when you have so much cannon fodder readily available? From what we've seen of Major, he prefers to use his "expendable" subjects to fight the war and watch from a comfortable seat in the audience, rather than going out to fight himself. I'd say it's very probable that he is a vampire.

well, he does say he is a fanatic warmonger...so i guess he would want to cause as much destruction as possible...
but scince he is such a bloodthirsty guy, would it not make more sense if he were to fight himself? if he is a vamp, that is...
also consider the scene where walter saves him from the Vatican helicopter...
if he were a vampire himself, would he need protection against the guns?
...on the other hand, that scene may have been put in just to show off Walters new form...
...
shit...i want the next chapter -____-

He may be True Undead (the difference between Alucard and Seras, in other words). In that case he would not be injured by either normal or blessed bullets. Interesting discussion, this.

He also may not have changed since The Dawn due to something Doc did which prevented him from aging.

Question They're all werewolves?

I've just finished reading the whole manga (in English, woohoo, finally!!!) and I can't seem to remember where it is stated that they are all werewolves. Schrödinger is said to be a catboy, while the Captain is considered the only actual werewolf.

I'm just wondering. Perhaps I need to read it all over again, who knows? Razz

Baman, I think you're misunderstanding Schrodinger's comment that "you should have left it to us werewolves." Werwolf is a rank in the Nazi army similar to the American "Lieutenant". Captain is the only actual lycanthrope of the bunch.
