gah...so many questions...*SPOILER*i must say i am wondering just who turned Walter into a vampire...
obviously, he is not one of the artificial weakling vampires like the Millenium grunts (if he were, why the hell would he even think about fighting Alucard?), so supposedly, another vampire must have "embraced" him, or whatever...
but WHO?! the Millenium lieutenants are all werewolves...and Montana? i do not know what the hell he is, but if he were a vampire himself (which were suggested in the chapter where Alucard has the flashback) then why are he not fighting himself? at least, we know he cannot be human...after all, he looks just like he did back in WW2...
and where does "she" (from the dawn) fit in?
I guess most of these answers will be answered in the dawn, such as how Montana managed to turn Walter...he did say that all was decided "back then"...
...
...
well...
anyone have any ideas?

i think its doc whos responsible for all these strange things

Alucard

Most likely, Doc is very creepy but still cool somehow

Why bother fighting when you have so much cannon fodder readily available? From what we've seen of Major, he prefers to use his "expendable" subjects to fight the war and watch from a comfortable seat in the audience, rather than going out to fight himself. I'd say it's very probable that he is a vampire.

well, he does say he is a fanatic warmonger...so i guess he would want to cause as much destruction as possible...
but scince he is such a bloodthirsty guy, would it not make more sense if he were to fight himself? if he is a vamp, that is...
also consider the scene where walter saves him from the Vatican helicopter...
if he were a vampire himself, would he need protection against the guns?
...on the other hand, that scene may have been put in just to show off Walters new form...
...
shit...i want the next chapter -____-

wether or not he needs protection if he is a vampire is totally depending on if the bullets are blessed

He may be True Undead (the difference between Alucard and Seras, in other words). In that case he would not be injured by either normal or blessed bullets. Interesting discussion, this.
He also may not have changed since The Dawn due to something Doc did which prevented him from aging.

They're all werewolves?
I've just finished reading the whole manga (in English, woohoo, finally!!!) and I can't seem to remember where it is stated that they are all werewolves. Schrödinger is said to be a catboy, while the Captain is considered the only actual werewolf.
I'm just wondering. Perhaps I need to read it all over again, who knows?

Baman, I think you're misunderstanding Schrodinger's comment that "you should have left it to us werewolves." Werwolf is a rank in the Nazi army similar to the American "Lieutenant". Captain is the only actual lycanthrope of the bunch.

Thanks, Laudanum. I was going to explain that, then I read your post.

hmmm...well, the only one we know is werewolf is Hans...then the others are probably vampires...and...neko boy (?)...

*spoiler*

and in the newest chapter, it is suggested that Walter betrayed them as far back as in 1944...we will probably see why later in the dawn...
...
It seems that it was Walter who locked Alucard down in the basement...
...
and they bring up another question...when Integras uncle were hunting her, where were Walter?

I forgot where I heard this, but wasn't he in South America? Or South Africa?
Agreed. Where was he?

and so, concerning the developments of the recent chapter 76, i think it would be kind of cool if Heinkel managed to kill Walter...
and Hans has proved to be even more mysterious than usual...
why did he not kill Heinkel?...come to think of it, have we ever seen him kill anyone?...still him being a pacifist seems a bit far-fetched as well...he is Montanas pawn (literaly! hehe) after all...

Oh yes, Heinkel would definitely have all the reasons in the world to kill Walter. I only wonder if she actually could. Walter is powerful, and who knows what else he can do now. However, since the need for revenge does give one ... ahem, more power, it may happen.
I just wouldn't like Alucard to kill him. He definitely could, easily even, but what "fun" would there be in that?
Oh no, I wouldn't think of the Captain as one who would not kill, rather... he is quite a mysterious character and we can never know what else goes through his mind than "...".
