Father Anderson's character is spawned off a character in one of Hirano's older manga (Hentai!), which was rejected. Apparently they never sent the copy back to him, so he added Alex into Hellsing as a sort of revenge.

Are you talking about crossfire??? there are two more characters in Hellsing from the previous hirano works-it's Heinkel Wolfe and Yumiko/Yumie Takagi...And captaine Pip Benadotte looks very simmilar to 'Coyote's' main character.

Montana and Hans were also first presented in hentai(ish) mangas...
(Montana in Coyote along with the prototype bernadotte)
and Alucard as well, in a manga called "legend of vampire hunter", which seems to be a sort of prototype hellsing...it contains a female Hellsing soldier resembling Seras, being...assaulted...by some guys a bit similliar to Luke and Jan, and then being saved by Alucard...
Thankfully, the actual Hellsing turned out differently...
